Established in the year 1988 with an objective of providing high quality technical education with skill oriented training to the youth of North Malabar region, Government Polytechnic College Kasaragod has grown in stature as one of the premier Polytechnic Colleges in the state of Kerala.

The College offers five three-year Diploma programs in the disciplines of Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Computer Engineering. The annual intake of the institution is 280 at present.

The GPC Kasaragod campus is situated at Vadakkekkara, Periye in the Pullur-Periye Grama Panchayath in Kasaragod district. The nearest railway station is Kanhangad (13 km) on Mangalore-Palakkad line. There are airports at Mangalore (80 km) and Kannur (108 km).
